And finally, we’re here on the good stuff – the real deal – when it comes to making money online.
Sell stuff on Ebay / Amazon
‘Buy stuff for cheap, sell it for profit online”. There is this thing called “white label” where you buy a generic product (say, a iphone case) and you slap your brand on it.
There is this website called Alibaba. com which is a directory of suppliers in China where you can buy in bulk and sell it for profit online.
You know those dollar stores? They buy their stuff from China or South East Asia (Vietnam) and then sell it back for a mark up. You can do the same by buying off Alibaba. com and selling it on Craigslist or online.
Sell people stuff for a commission (aka, affiliate marketing)
There are companies out there that are happy to give you a commission whenever you refer them a customer. For example, on Uber Net I make $50 USD whenever a person signs up for web hosting.
Affiliate marketing is fun because you simply get a special link and when someone clicks on the link and buys the stuff, you get a commission. Many big companies have affiliate programs – for example, Amazon, Google (at one point), Name Cheap.
A blogging”gurus” like SmartPassiveIncome claims to make $100k USD a month (mostly from affiliate marketing). You can look at his earning report here: http://www. smartpassiveincome. com/my-income-reports/
Write ebooks and publish it on Amazon (also known as Amazon Kindle Publishing)
In 2013, I was making $2,000 USD a month from publishing books on Amazon. Most of the books was self improvement and stuff, filled with grammar mistake. In fact, most of the books I wrote was borderline troll – it started off as a joke.
But then people started buying the books and I kept publishing more. I thought that I could sit back and let the passive income roll in every month. I was wrong.
The sales declined. Three years later, I still make “passive” income from Amazon Kindle but it’s only $50 USD per month. Ha!
If you have a knack for writing and you live in a “third world country” like India or Vietnam, you can leverage your earning because most of the people buy books are in America, so you get paid in USD. Take that sweet advantage of the currency exchange rate.
Drive leads (also known as cost per lead)
Driving leads is a form of affiliate marketing. For example, everyone someone signs up for a dating website through my link, I get $1.
Companies love leads. For example, I can drive pay day loan leads and get paid up to $30 just for a name and phone number. Crazy, huh?
In late 2015, I put my heart and soul into mobile affiliate marketig; I was advertising ads on cell phones and driving dating leads and other type of leads.
But my heart and soul isn’t into the thing. Do I really want to be another sleazy marketer advertising more bullshit? The work felt like a grind and it’s just not a good feeling, so I stopped before I got too far down into the rabbit hole.
Drop shipping
You might have heard of drop shipping. Consumers go to your website to buy the stuff. Instead of you shipping the product, the supplier ships it for you. You guessed it – you’re just a gloried middle man. But at least you get a commission and don’t need to carry any inventory.
Cliff note – legit ways to make money online that you can scale up
- Affiliate marketing (including drop shipping and cost per lead) Amazon Kindle Pubishing Selling stuff on Ebay and Amazon
You may have noticed …
I didn’t mention “web design” or “graphic design” because I don’t believe in trading time for money (trade anything BUT time for money). But with the methods mentioned above, you can scale the business up and make money while you sleep – that’s the make money online dream, isn’t it?
**A person can trade time for money by customizing a blog … or he can make money while he sleeps by making premade blog themes.
So there you have it
I hope this clears up the air. If I prevented a soul from falling into a shitty multi level marketing scheme, I am a happy person.
