Edit Using the Right Class

The best class to use in Hotwire is the Mechanic. Mechanics specialize in repairing and destroying vehicles. The class comes outfitted with an M79 or M320 HE 40mm grenade launcher which is great for taking out vehicles at a distance. When you have enough money, purchase the Repair Tool as quickly as possible. This is the gadget that will repair friendly vehicles and destroy enemy vehicles.

 

Remember, you do not have to be driving the marked car to earn points in Hotwire. In fact, it is best to be the passenger while playing as a Mechanic. If the vehicle becomes damaged, you can repair it with your Repair Tool. You can also lean out the window and fire at enemy vehicles that may be on your tail. Vehicles in Hardline are incredibly weak. They can even be damaged with Pistols and Submachine Guns. Of course, explosives are the fastest way to take out a car.

 

If you need to rank up the other three Classes. it's best to use the Stunt Driver gadget. This gadget reduce vehicle damage when colliding with other vehicles or road hazards, and will outfit the car with some NOS for a quick speed boost. The Enforcer class also has Breaching Charges that can be used to blow up enemy vehicles remotely.
