Ask for overtime and extra hours at your current position. The extra hours should be applied to your next paycheck. It may be the easiest way to earn extra money, since you will not need to look for another job to earn the money.
Look for opportunities to freelance or work as a consultant in the field you work in. Often freelancers and consultants earn a higher hourly wage doing consulting work. If you are an accountant find work doing a small business books after hours. A teacher can work as a tutor or textbook writer. This can turn into a steady source of income or you can do it just a few times to cover an emergency.
Consider jobs that make instant cash. For example babysitting in the evenings or over the weekend and get paid on the day that you baby-sit. Housecleaning may be paid each time you do it. This is a good option if you need cash quickly. These jobs may not pay as much as jobs that may take a week or two to pay you.
