The First Step: Research

Your very first step is to do a little research. What you are basically looking for is legitimate survey sites that you can sign up to. This is a very important step because not all survey websites are alike.

Some may be genuine and actually pay their members while others fall under the category of a scam. You don’t want to spend your precious time filling out surveys and then discover that you won’t get paid.

A good way to find out if a survey site is legitimate is to type in the name of the site in Google along with review. So, it would look like this, “Name of Survey Site” Review. By doing this, you will be able to read what others have to say about that specific site whether good or bad.

You can also do another search but instead of typing in review, you would type in “payment proof”. This would tell you if there are any payment proofs for that specific survey website.

A lot of people post pictures of their checks or take screenshots of payments they received if it was from another source such as PayPal and then they post them online for others to see. This can help you identify which sites pay and which ones do not.

After learning about the legitimate survey sites that do pay, you have to do a little more research to find out when and how they pay people. You have take into consideration that some sites pay individuals at different times using different payment methods.

For example, one site may pay you every month by mailing you a check to your address while another may pay you every week but in the form of gift cards. If you don’t want to get paid with prizes and gift cards, you need to only sign up for online survey sites that pay cash either by check or via PayPal.
