I bet this is something that you didn’t know about me, I used to own a house cleaning business. I owned a house cleaning business for about 2 years before I sold it. Yes, sold it not closed it down. Cleaning houses is very lucrative and is perhaps one of the best ways to make money right before the holidays. I say this because family comes over during the holidays, which means that the house must be spotless.

Tell your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and everybody else that they know that you will clean their houses. You can charge a flat per hour fee or you can charge based on the tasks that you perform. I like to charge per hour per person. This way if I decided to hire an employee I could do that and I would know what I am getting so that I know what the max is that I can pay that person. Simple, right? Well, it really is.
