Etsy. The top Etsy sellers have made hundreds of thousands of sales. For example, “The Velvet Acorn” is an Etsy store that sells patterns for people who want to knit cute winter hats for their children. The store has made over 140,000 sales. Since the patterns sell for about $5 each, the store has sold over $700,000 in merchandise. People also sell baby bonnets, pottery, furniture, artwork and just about anything else handmade on the site.
