31. Don’t Capture the Value

One of the absolute best ways to avoid making money online is never to capture the value. You can keep doing free workshops and free guides. People will happily capture the value.

If you don’t want to make money, then never make it possible to receive.

After all, it’s better to give than to receive, isn’t it?

But what if you do want to receive?

You need to be able to catch the metaphorical boomerang of value.

This could mean anything from accepting donations, to charging for some of the your stuff.

Play with the freeline, but if you make everything free, then there is no line.

Tip – people often value more what they pay for (and sometimes it’s like the chicken and egg.)
