A great way not to make money on the Web is to fail to create a customer.
Peter Drucker taught us that “the purpose of business is to create a customer.”
If you don’t have a customer, you don’t have a business. If you don’t have a business, it’s unlikely you’ll make a living off the Web.
Related to this, if you don’t really know who you want to serve, then you might create customers you don’t actually want.
