If you don’t want to make money, then don’t grow your traffic.
More precisely, don’t grow relevant traffic.
You might grow your traffic by putting up some funny pictures, or hit a spike with a post gone viral, or a video that’s a hoot, but that won’t sustain your living, and if the traffic isn’t relevant, it won’t help you in your monetization efforts.
It might seem like such a little difference, but it’s a world of difference online between somebody searching to browse and searching to buy.
