35. Don’t Pay Attention to Awareness, Usage, and Satisfaction

If you don’t want to make money online, then don’t pay attention to awareness, usage, or satisfaction.

Briefly, awareness is a measure of whether, and to what extent, people are aware of your goods and services. Usage is a measure of whether people are actually using what you sell them. Satisfaction is a measure of whether people are happy with what you’re selling them.

There are lots of ways to make things complicated when it comes to checking your success, but awareness, usage, and satisfaction are good indicators.

But they are table stakes. They just get you in the game.

If you really want to make money, and you want to deliver amazing value, while growing your tribe of raving fans, then you should actually add another measure to the mix, for good measure

It’s Net Promoter Score. Simply put, it’s a measure of whether somebody would recommend you to a friend.

It’s pretty cut and dry and there’s never really been a more telling measure of how raving your fans really are than the Net Promoter Score since it puts their credibility on the line.
